Anna McMurchy

Role at RSR Partners
An enthusiastic cross-collaborator, Anna is an Associate whose recruitment work spans all practices at RSR Partners. She works most closely with our Industrial and Consumer practices, though she enjoys pitching in to execute searches in all industries. Since RSR is comfortable with a remote team, Anna has been able to continue her life as a digital nomad, working from wherever there is a good Wi-Fi connection and a quiet spot for interviews. A culturally conscious seeker of global talent, Anna has interviewed candidates from six continents and more than 30 countries. She looks forward to the day when she might find the perfect executive tucked away in Antarctica.
Experience and Expertise
Prior to joining RSR at the beginning of 2022, Anna launched her career with a series of non-technical roles at different tech startups. She and her team of mobile app entrepreneurs participated in the iVenture accelerator at UIUC before relocating to the Bay Area. From there, Anna took on marketing and content contracts across the startup industry, including companies in genetic sequencing, data management, all-natural pet food, and AI writing tools. The industries she is most passionate about working in are manufacturing, sustainability, and tech, but her principal focus, above all, is connecting the best possible talent to whichever company needs them.
Outside of RSR Partners
A dual citizen of Canada and the United States, Anna earned her BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Alberta. Always eager to learn about other places and cultures, Anna has visited more than 28 countries since she started working at RSR. This has enabled her to learn new languages and form lasting friendships with people all over the world. When she isn’t at a museum or library, Anna can be found scaling walls and cliffsides with her climbing friends.
