Ed is Co-Head of the firm’s Asset Management Practice. His clients include endowments, foundations, family offices, OCIOs, consulting firms, and mutual fund boards. Additionally, he works with traditional and alternative asset management firms including private equity, venture, and hedge funds.
Experience and Expertise
Ed joined RSR in 2017 as part of the acquisition of Higdon Partners, the firm at which he launched his recruiting career over 30 years ago. He has led senior-level searches across the investment management industry for chief investment officers, chief operating officers, portfolio managers, asset allocation and strategy heads, and helped build out entire investment teams. Additionally, Ed has recruited leaders into institutional sales and marketing, risk and compliance, portfolio analytics, operational due diligence, and general counsel positions for a variety of asset management organizations. In addition to his search industry experience, Ed co-founded and managed Referral Networks, a successful recruiting-related software start-up. He also spent three years at Wachtell Lipton, a leading New York law firm.
Outside of RSR Partners
Ed graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Political Science and later earned an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School. He currently lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with his wife and daughter, and splits his time between New York and Virginia. He has been actively involved in his community as president of the board of ReadyKids, a non-profit organization serving at-risk children and families. He also does fundraising for The Taft School and serves as Treasurer on the board of The Colonnade Club, the faculty club of the University of Virginia.
