Role at RSR Partners

Drew leads the firm’s global Sport and Entertainment Leadership Practice, and also contributes to the Hospitality and Leisure and Marketing Services practices. Drew focuses on recruiting senior leaders and providing human capital advisory services across the global sport ecosystem. He is well-positioned to serve as a trusted advisor to clients in the sport and entertainment industry due to his experience in leadership positions at various teams across sports leagues – including the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Baseball (MLB), and Major League Soccer (MLS) – devising and executing strategy around revenue growth and development.

Experience and Expertise

Drew brings a unique set of talent and assessment skills to RSR Partners. He has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles across various sports and entertainment businesses, primarily dedicated to revenue generation, strategic partnerships, marketing and sales services, and team/venue operations. He served as Chief Business Officer for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for the Pittsburgh Pirates, which provided him with practical experience identifying and recruiting talent in order to deliver exemplary results as well as improve organizational culture. Prior to his time in Brooklyn and Pittsburgh, Drew was with the NBA’s Team Marketing and Business Operations (TMBO) division, where he advocated best practices to encourage innovation.  He also spent several years at Madison Square Garden, playing a key leadership role in the development of the “World’s Most Famous Arena” marketing strategy and transformation, in addition to leading the Phoenix Suns’ sales and guest experiences efforts earlier in his career.

Outside RSR Partners

Drew hails from Pittsburgh, PA and currently lives in Chatham, NJ with his wife, Maggie, and his daughters, Grace and Sophie, and dog, Stargell (in deference to the Hall of Famer). Drew holds a BS in Sport Industry and his Masters in Athletic Administration from Ohio University.
