Hank currently serves as the firm’s vice chairman and previously was the founder and chairman of Higdon Partners.
Experience and Expertise
Hank spent the first 15 years of his search career with Russell Reynolds Associates, where he served as a member of the firm’s five-person Executive Committee and built and managed offices in Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Menlo Park. He has been honored with the Gardner Heidrick Award, the highest recognition given by the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC) for distinguished service to the executive search industry. Hank was also recognized as one of the top 100 executive search professionals in the United States in the book Career Makers, published by Harper Collins. Hank served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves for six years following graduation from Yale University. His career began by spending six years with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, serving individuals, families, and organizations in New York City.
Outside RSR Partners
Hank and his wife attend many sporting events. He especially enjoys watching his grandchildren’s athletic pursuits and encouraging them to develop as athletes, teammates, competitors, and young adults. Hank is actively involved in alumni affairs at Yale University, including having chaired his 25th and co-chaired his 50th reunions. He sits on the Board of the Yale Football Association and served on the Search Committees to recruit the last two Yale football coaches. He also is one of the three founders of the Ivy Football Association and serves on its Board. Other outside interests include faith-based activities, including service on the Boards of the Bowery Mission in New York City and the Greenwich Leadership Forum. He is active in the leadership of the Stanwich Congregational Church as senior deacon, trustee, moderator, and chairman of the capital campaign.
